Your Reality is Determined by your Beliefs

Your beliefs are an important factor in what kind of life you live. Beliefs about yourself, what you think you can or not do, money; your beliefs about every to factor into the lifestyle you live. This is called the Law of Belief. Whatever you believe, with feeling and conviction, becomes your reality. It’s called the Law of Belief. Whatever you intensely believe becomes your reality.

Without solid positive and empowering beliefs that have been build on a cement foundation. What beliefs are you harboring within you?

Are they positive beliefs or are they self limiting beliefs?

All the limitations you face in life are self-imposed. What you belief can keep you shackled behind your fears, worries, anger and hate or they can move your life forward.

In order to change your beliefs you must change your mind by changing the way you think. The bible clearly states “as a man thinketh so is he.”

You must change otherwise you will never get off the state you are currently in.
Ask any successful person what their beliefs are and you find a common answer, “ I believe I have the ability to succeed and never entertain the thought of quitting or giving up.” Quitting and failure are never an option.

Change your thinking and build strong beliefs and as you break the shackles that are holding you back, you’ll find yourself crossing oceans you once thought never possible to cross.

Download a free copy, of as a man thinketh and start your journey to changing how you think. It’s an awesome book, with great insight about viewing the world from a different view.

Enjoy!

Look within for Strength

1 John 4:4

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

This is a great verse, tool me a really long time to understand it. But after shouting it out

for a few weeks I came to understand how great God is. It’s because of the greater one that I am victorious

and he’s within me.

The Most Important Days of Your Life

There are 2 important days in every champions’ life. Why do I say every champion, because everyone is born a Champion. The day you were born is the most important day of your life. The other important day is the day you discover what your purpose on this earth is. We can all make a difference in this world by impact or making a difference to one heart at a time.

You were born a champion and you were born happy, but it takes us years realize it and some champions never realize they were born for a greater good.

Happiness will come when you DECIDE to make it happen.

Happiness can only start with you and it must start from within.

Learn to love yourself, learn accept who you are and embrace the fact that there’s a champion within you waiting to be RELEASED.

Never accept defeat, the enemy will pull you down to keep you from ever attaining your true destiny.

Statistics about Depression

Prior to starting this blog I never really realized how big of an issue Depression is. And even more startling is the the increase in number every year, not just in adults, but as well as adolescents and children as young as age 5.

Colleges are facing issues because more and more students are starting their college careers and have alredy been diagnosed for depression. Teenagers, and childrean are already being treated for depression before they have even gone out into the real world. It’s a huge scare because we have seen all the rage going on recently in college campuses. I am fully commited to reaching out to as many kids as possible and give them encouragement and empowerement to realize that we are all meant for greatness. My personal break through was because someone took the time to speak positive words I had never heard before. 23 yrs I had never heard anyone speak like that and the rest is history.

Here are some more stats I found:

  • An estimated 22.1 percent of Americans ages 18 and older(about 1-5 adults) suffer from a diagnosable mental disorder in a given year.
  • Approximately 18.8 million American adults, or about 9.5% of the U.S. population age 18 and older in a given year, have depressive disorder.
  • Nearly twice as many women (12%) as men (6.6%) are affected by a depressive disorder each year. These figures translate to 12.4 million women and 6.4 million men in the U.S.
  • Only 20 percent of people who develop depression receive adequate treatment
  • 16 percent of adults will experience depression at some age
  • Most of the research result in depression has proved that onset of depression is occurring in earlier ages than in past decades.
  • Nearly 2.5% of children in the U.S suffer from depression
  • 8.3% of adolescents suffer from depression

Accepting Personal Responsibility

Hello Champions,

The past few months have been quite challenging for me especially on the topic about depression and anti depressants. I have never really been open about being on anti-depressants until I shared it with my mentor. He has since then challenged me to accept the responsibility of changing people’s lives by sharing my story.

This BLOG was supposed to be up and running in Dec 2007 but I have been reluctant and even fighting my mentor’s advice. I didn’t really want to relive that season again nor think about it, but more I was embarrassed about it. Nobody knew about me being on depressed and I have yet to share everything.

Within the past 2 weeks my mentor said something that hit home for me; “what you take for granted, will change people’s live.” That comment coupled with the CNN SIU special this weekend on Campus Rage pushed me over the edge. I have never really made a big deal about this, but something is wrong with the picture I got from last night’s special. I find myself with so many questions that I don’t even know where to start.

I do know this though, I overcame depression and I need to share my personal victory over depression. This weekend I accepted the responsibility to change lives one heart at a time.

So over the next few days I will post a video sharing my story.

George
